Haida Gwaii/Queen Charlotte Islands…

Haida Gwaii is an archipelago of about 150 islands, consisting of 2 main islands (Graham and Moresby) and a myriad of smaller islands that are located 100 miles off the northwest coast of British Columbia and 450 miles northwest of Vancouver. The 6,000 inhabitants live mostly in the small communities on Graham Island and the north of Moresby Island. There are only 70 miles of paved roads with a further network of logging roads.

Weather in the Queen Charlotte Islands is variable and often changes quickly. July-August daytime temperatures generally range between 16-25 C (60-70 F), evenings are cooler. The water temperature remains close to 8 C (48 F) year round. Extended periods of rain are unusual, but possible, and mornings may be foggy. Be prepared for rain and gusty winds on the water and on the beach and then enjoy our beautiful sunshine.
